主讲人简介:
Dr. Jae-Hun Park is a distinguished physical oceanographer. He was awarded the PhD degree from Hiroshima University, Japan. After that he moved to the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island to continue his sailing in physical oceanography research. Now he is working at Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute. His research focus on internal gravity waves including internal tides, near-inertial oscillations, and non-linear internal waves, with emphasis on dynamics of their interaction with mesoscale eddies and fronts. He is also an expert on oceanic data analysis and observations. The data acquired from Inverted Echo Sounders and their applications in ocean dynamics dramatically enhanced our understanding of oceans.
韩国国家海洋研究所简介:
Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute, the only comprehensive ocean research organization in Korea, has led the development of marine science and technology within Korea. Since its establishment in 1973, it has played a pivotal role in improving Korea’s marine competitiveness to the global standard for forty years. Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute will continue to focus on the development and promotion of marine knowledge, exploitation of marine resources, and preservation of marine environment, and thus utilize potentials in ocean for the future of Korea.
